Gennady Bogolyubov, Ukrainian entrepreneur: biography, career, condition

Brightly, quickly and effectively, the first fortunes were made during the perestroika 90s of the XX century. Who was not taken aback, was at least a little daring and was not afraid of risk, quickly put together a primary capital. Most often, the first earnings were doubtful, with a criminal background, but in those years the laws were not adapted to the formation of spontaneous capitalism. Large industrial cities, such as Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev, Donetsk, Dneprodzerzhinsk, became the platform for the birth of a new class of society.

Today, people who have held financial savings in their hands, invested in business and are developing businesses around the world are trustworthy citizens who have leverage, often at the state level. Bogolyubov Gennady Borisovich - one of the pioneers in the emergence of private capital in Ukraine, almost all of his projects were created in tandem with Igor Kolomoisky and are under the reliable protection of the Jewish elite of the whole world.

Your credo

Gennady Bogolyubov is rarely the protagonist of press publications of any color, he has never been a hero of scandals, and social events are mainly focused on the life and events of the Jewish community. According to him, fame and talk about houses, yachts, dogs and other, purely personal lives, are unethical. Referring to the specifics of the business, he says that publicity is not necessary for doing business, rather, on the contrary, the behind-the-scenes solution to all issues brings the best results.

His interests have long stepped over the borders of Ukraine and spread to the whole world. The Ukrainian crisis, which began in 2014, crippled the state of national financial leaders. Today, according to the rating "TOP-100. The richest people in Ukraine, ”published by Focus magazine in April 2016, G. Bogolyubov is in third place. Its total capital is estimated at $ 1,400 million. Since 2014, he managed to avoid losses and failures, but failed to increase capital.

Together with a regular partner, the Sentosa company was established (it is still operating), which was engaged in the sale of office equipment imported from Southeast Asia.

Some evil languages claim that the capital for the first purchases of equipment and the maintenance of the official version of the legal business was earned from 1988 to 1991 through the organization of groups of "lawyers" whose main activity was the "protection" of small businesses (stalls, shops) in Dnepropetrovsk and areas.

Privat Group

The real story of the oligarch began with the creation of the first private commercial bank in Ukraine. A group of entrepreneurs, including Ukraine’s iconic names Kolomoisky, Tigipko, Gennady Bogolyubov and others, established PrivatBank. This happened in 1992.Relations with then influential, and now disgraced governor Pavel Lazarenko, helped all participants in the cooperation between business and government get rapid development: someone in politics on the prime minister’s chair, someone in business to capture new markets and establish foreign assets.

With the capitalization of the financial institution and the expansion of the sphere of interests, the Privat group was formed. Today, Gennady Bogolyubov is the president of PrivaBank CB, the founder of several companies based in Dnepropetrovsk - Sentoza, Solm LTD, and others. Until 2014, he was also on the board of directors of CB Moskomprivatbank. This asset was liquidated for political reasons. This happened during the Maidan and the beginning of unrest in Ukraine. The Russian subsidiary of Privat Group was sold in record time, most likely without bargaining and with negative profit.

Gennady Bogolyubov biography

The mystery of the SCR

The redistribution of property, which was launched by the current government of Ukraine, makes it possible to privatize most of the country's industrial complex enterprises for little money. Gennady Bogolyubov included Odessa Port Plant and Ukrnafta in his area of interest. Trading in OPZ in 2016 ended in embarrassment: the company was not bought even for the declared miserable value, the purchase was blocked by Privat Group.

The scandal lasts from the time of Tymoshenko’s premiership. In 2009, a competition took place, as a result of which the Nortima company (part of the Privat structure) acquired 99.567% of the company’s shares for a total of $ 624 million. Timosheko Yu. V. imposed a veto on the decision, since in her understanding, the Russian company Azot-Service (Sibur group) was to win the bidding. Bogolyubov believes that the OPZ, according to the law, should go to its structures, so the Privat group initiates litigation. The phrase is popular in Ukrainian politics: "Whoever gets the HMO paid for the Maidan." Most likely, it reflects the truth.

Dneprodzerzhinsk

State-level blackmail

The richest people in Ukraine, among whom equal business partners are the public Kolomoisky and the backstage Bogolyubov, share the country's wealth, wanting to increase their own capital. The lawsuit is between private structures and the state, in which officials have long considered the treasury to be their pocket. Ukrnafta has become hostage to ownership disputes. During the premiership of Y. Tymoshenko, the company was actually presented to the Privat group. With the advent of the metropolis in the face of the United States, Ukrnafta became an apple of discord. US representatives demanded that the owners sell a controlling stake, which the Ukrnafta leadership did not agree to.

The situation was resolved by force, and new people were introduced to the board. This gave rise to three Cypriot companies (de jure they are minority shareholders), owned by Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov, to file a lawsuit against Ukraine in the amount of UAH 2.063 billion. The amount consists of penalties due to non-received dividends (UAH 932 million) and compensation for losses incurred in connection with the loss of the value of shares (UAH 1,679 billion). The legal basis of the claim is the violation by the state of Ukraine of its international legal obligations to investors. There is no progress in this case, the conflict will last a long time. In any case, the situation enables Bogolyubov and the company to conduct tenders with the Ukrainian government through blackmail.
