short biography
Bogachev Eugene was born in the beginning of World War II, on August 25. This happened in the Kursk region, the village of Novo-Ivanovka. In childhood, I had to spend a long time with my parents in Ukraine, so he is fluent in the Ukrainian language. He received higher education in Kazan, where he remained to work. Eugene Borisovich has two diplomas: with a difference of 10 years, he graduated from the aviation, and then financial and economic institute. While still a schoolboy, he lost his father, so he had to rely only on his own strength.
The makings of a leader appeared even in the first university, where he organized a student commune, creating a single budget for those living in a hostel. Earnings from unloading wagons and Volga barges went to the “common boiler”. Evgeni Borisovich married early, becoming a father at the age of 25. A fellow student named Bella became the chosen one. The young family rented housing, so it was impossible to live on an engineering salary. Bogachev Eugene chose the profession of a telemaster and soon headed the workshop at the household appliance factory.
Further career
The first serious appointment was the position of chief engineer of the Ekran association (1967). The company was engaged in the repair of television and radio equipment. A year later, he headed this association. Having proved himself in work, Evgeny Borisovich became the youngest deputy minister of consumer services, taking this post at 29 years old. Realizing that he lacked economic knowledge, he again sat on the student bench. During his work in the field of consumer services, he laid the foundations of corporate thinking by creating a network of profitable enterprises in the industry and achieving growth in volumes up to 30% per year.
Fifteen years later, Evgeny Bogachev headed the Ministry of TASSR and was simultaneously elected to the Supreme Council of the Republic. In his biography there is a period (1990–1993), when he was also a parliamentarian of the Russian Federation. From 1993, he headed the National Bank, remaining its chairman until 2014.
BC "UNICS": 18 years at the helm
Evgeny Borisovich has many hobbies, including photography, hunting, gardening. But the main business of the last eighteen years is basketball. It all started with the request of President Shaimiev in 1998 to take custody of the UNICS professional club. For Bogachev, this was a big surprise, because at that time he did not really understand sports. All the time was occupied by banking. But today he is one of the main specialists in professional basketball, with whose opinion they are considered.The club was tasked with reaching the European level and becoming one of the winners of the Czech Republic. 11 times UNICS took the second or third place in the country's standings, three times became the owner of the Russian Cup, having won the European Cup in 2011.
For himself, Evgeny Bogachev set a different task - to make this sport one of the most popular in the republic. To this end, resources were used to attract the best coaches and players, the famous Basket-Hall arena was built for 7.5 thousand seats (2011). The club finished the season 2016/2017 in fifth position, it became known that head coach E. Pashutin said goodbye to the team. But 76-year-old Evgeny Borisovich does not lose optimism. The press published his statement that the club selects a new mentor from the 15 most worthy candidates to rehabilitate themselves in the new season. In the meantime, BC held a traditional friendly meeting with its fans.
Personal life
In 1979 Bogachev’s life, trouble happened: in a car accident he lost his wife and eldest daughter. He found a new family only after 4 years. His second wife is Lilia, together they raised two children - daughter Olga and son Bogdan. Evgeny Borisovich has many titles and government awards, but one of the most expensive - for his contribution to the development of domestic basketball.
