Kitchen faucet device

Kitchen faucets are an essential attribute of every home. Today on the market you can find many modifications of such structures, differing in the quality of the material and reliability of work.

Designers are also involved in the development of cranes, which help to create not only practical, but also very beautiful products. With their help, you can decorate the interior of the kitchen, giving it originality.

Duplex

A crane of this type is a special design where the water supply is controlled from two different points. To do this, the product has special valves that block the flow and are responsible for their own direction. One of them has hot water and the other has cold water.

Gates can be located both in one horizontal plane, and at a different angle relative to each other.

Classification

Mixers for water of this type can be divided into 2 subspecies:

  • Devices with reciprocating crane. Such a design during its rotation opens or closes a certain channel, thereby carrying out the supply of water to the source. Such mixers have several advantages:
  1. relatively low cost;
  2. ease of use;
  3. the possibility of obtaining exactly the desired temperature of the water, by adjusting the individual components;
  4. practicality. The crankshaft can be replaced very easily, which significantly extends their service life.
  • Cranes, whose work is provided with ceramic plates. These elements fit tightly together and can only move in parallel relative to each other. Each plate has holes that can be combined, thus opening the flow passage. From that, how big combination and the volume of the passable water depends.

The advantages of these products include several features:

  1. an increased level of wear resistance, which allows the mixer to be used for a long time without the need for repairs;
  2. Ease of Management. The valves can be rotated both by 90 and 180 degrees, which allows you to precisely control the flow of water and get the desired temperature.

Lever

Mixers of this type are mechanisms where water is mixed inside a special chamber. Their distinctive feature is the presence of a "one-handed" governing body. This lever has the ability to rotate in both horizontal and vertical planes simultaneously. It is by combining this approach that we can achieve different indicators of the level of the water flow and changes in its temperature.

Consider the device mixer for the kitchen, which consists of the following structural elements:

  • Lever. The shape and size of this attribute depends on the manufacturer, but in most cases they are given the similarity of the letter "G". It performs the function of controlling the mixer.
  • The jet regulator is a special nozzle (aerator), which is located at the end of the outlet tube of the mixer. Secure it with a threaded connection.
  • Decorative cover.
  • Cartridge. It is located inside the mixer and is fastened with a nut and bolted connection. It is in this part of the system that hot and cold water is mixed.
  • Fixing bracket.

Classification

Single-track mixers differ only in the principle of mixing,which depends on the design of a similar node. According to this criterion, they can be divided into several types:

  • Ball type mixers. In such systems, mixing is performed using a special ball sleeve and a metal ball, inside which three holes are made. Two of them have a small diameter, while the third is given a significant size in order to be able to bring the flow out. Mixing is performed in the ball itself, where the water falls.

Among the advantages of such structures are several properties:

  1. considerable term of operation;
  2. practicality. The control system is quite simple and allows you to get the optimal level of mixing and temperature.
  • Cartridge type mixers. The main working body here are two ceramic plates. They are made on the basis of aluminum oxide. These elements have a smooth surface with which they are joined together. Inside each plate there are special holes, combining which you can achieve water supply. If they are located strictly in the center, then it opens both passages and the mixing of the liquid takes place.

Cartridge mixers differ in some positive properties, among which there is a long period of work and the possibility of replacing the working body. Please note that in order to achieve the optimum temperature, you need to rotate the knob for a certain time, as it does not provide sufficient accuracy.

Contactless

Constructions of this type do not assume the presence of a control knob, and are externally equipped only with the spout. A distinctive feature of them is that the water supply is carried out automatically when the presentation of any object under the faucet. This automation is provided by the presence of a special system that analyzes all actions.

The advantages of contactless mechanisms include the following characteristics:

  1. The system is fully automated, which does not require constant on and off stream. This can significantly reduce the use of water, as it will be used only at the right time.
  2. Lack of handles. A person does not need to spend time on switching on and setting up the system, which also saves time.
  3. Practicality.One advantage is that the water flow has a standard temperature. This allows you to set one value on a special sensor and already forget about setting, as is the case with lever mixers.

Specifications

The composition of contactless mixers includes several standard elements:

  1. Body and spout.
  2. Stop valve.
  3. Filters and connecting hose.
  4. Electronic system that performs control. This part of the mechanism is one of the most important, as it allows you to configure all the main parameters of the stream.

Some models of such mixers are designed with a swivel spout, but this already depends on the design decisions. Setting the temperature and power flow is performed using a special touch panel. More modern modifications can change these indicators automatically depending on the location of the hands.

Installation algorithm

The installation process of mixers of this type can be divided into several successive steps:

  1. Initially, you need to connect the supply hoses of a certain length to the crane. At the same time it is necessary to take into account the location of the sink and the source of water supply.
  2. After that, the mixer is installed in a special hole on the kitchen attribute. In this case, the surface between the sink and the tap is sealed with a rubber ring.
  3. Fixing the mixer is made using a special bracket, which is fastened with nuts. Tighten them to be careful not to damage the structure.
  4. The installation is completed by connecting the hoses to the water sources and checking the performance of the system.

When buying a kitchen faucet, one should give preference to quality modifications of well-known manufacturers. This will allow you to get a reliable product that will last several times longer than a cheap equivalent.
